Kelly Bancroft
"I've been in the Berkshires a little over a year. These beautiful quaint mountains have been a place of learning and inspiration. The song Geode was written mid-November of 1999. Geodes are rocks that when split open an array of amethyst or quarzt crystals are revealed. This is a song of hope in the dark times when no hope seems to be present. As a song writer I hope to share my experience of life through guitar and voice. As I come into union with my own voice of power, I hope my songs inpire others to walk the path of their heart's dream... Namaste"

Geode
by Kelly Bancroft
Not a soul, not a sound,
not a word in this quiet ghost town.
I thought i'd come and find you here,
but all I see are dust and empty windows.
Looking out all alone,
expecting someone to walk out the door,
but the only sounds are birds and wind
and the only light, is fire sky, setting sun.
It's curious to find myself while
i was looking for you and i thought it was so clear,
but i question the empty windows, empty cars,
empty houses and my empty heart.
Flame red hair fiery eyes ,
I'm lost to you, my devil in disguise.
Reflecting the sun, reflecting the dark moon,
reflecting my fears, my anger, my pain.
Wishing you were here to guide me,
but i find myself alone again.
Not a soul, not a sound,
not a word in this quiet ghost town.
I thought i'd come and find you here,
but all I see are dust and empty windows.
Child, I can see you,
looking out from the back of the window.
Child, i can feel you,
your eyes a watchin' me.
How many years have you been lost here,
was it that time so long ago?
How many times you thought i'd come back,
but I'd never show...
Lost amongst the quiet ghost town,
lost amongst the birds and the wind,
lost amongst the empty windows,
hoping to be found again.
I came here to face my demons,
instead i find myself a most precious child,
sometimes you don't always find what your looking for,
a blessing in disguise.
Not a soul, not a sound,
not a word in this quiet ghost town.
i didn't know i find her here
amongst dusty streets and empty windows
